Dreams of 8 Hours

Operation Sleep Through The Night begins now. I am tired to my bones and I needed an intervention.
He is sleeping unswaddled at the moment. A virgin to the hands free sleep is he. Crossing our fingers he embraces the freedom. We thought he would need his hands to flip us off while we watch him struggle in the video monitor. Aren't we the best parents?!
Hoping I have enough will power and mommy strength to make it through these nights. Scott can sleep through anything. Send good energy! If it fails we're on to plan B: Man boobs for Scott.

Like the removal of an industrial strength bandaid, it truly only hurts for a minute. And then---sweet dreams from now on! Good vibes coming your way!
Man boobs for Scott!
That's a visual, isn't it?
Fingers crossed this goes smoothly. Sleep is a wonderful thing and you need some!
I hope it works! We stopped swaddling Caleb at 3 months and he was a little wonky about it at first but now loves it. However, he was sleeping through the night for the past 2 months...until last week. Seriously, I have never been sleep deprived until now and it is HORRID. I hope Cash starts sleeping better so you can too!
Good luck. It only took us a couple of nights of tough love, but every baby is different. Hopefully he will get it and learn to sleep soundly through the night.
We are thinking of you guys. A few tough nights will be so worth it - stay strong!
Good luck! We just moved Baby R to the closet and are hoping to try the 'cry it out' method again. Fingers crossed!
You will make it and Cash will be a good little guy for you two. We stopped swaddling Marcus just a few weeks ago, we started with the one arm swaddle and now just do it for naps and at night he is in his sleepsack, it only took him a few nights and now sleeps from 8-6, amazing!! Update us on how it goes. P.S. I've also considered my husband to have man boobs to help out with the feedings.
Just last night Jamison and I were talking about how when Chase was a baby we would sit and rock her forever until she fell asleep, and then as gently as possible lay her in her crib, then walk on egg shells the rest of the night hoping she didn't wake up, and when she did, the whole process started all over again.
Now with Cohen there is no rocking, or walking on egg shells. Soon as 8:30 hits, throw him in the crib (but not literally), shut the door, let him cry it out for 10 minutes, and he is out all night long.
The moral of this is, it will get easier, and before you know it you will fall asleep one night, then wake up 8 hrs later and panic wondering what is wrong with Cash. Turns out he just slept all night long. Then you will rejoice.
